When children have the opportunities to see wild animals, they often bring thrills to them. It is important for children to understand that wild animals seen in the open, are not the same as their pets at home. Wild animals build their homes differently from us and have to find their own food. As every human and animal has the right to live, we would like to teach our children how to respect and appreciate nature from young. It will also help to safeguard our wildlife and environment.
Let's explore what the children have been learning for the past week.
The younger children have been learning about various wild animals, like elephants, tigers, lions and bears. They have decided to make an elephant track on mahjong paper, to recap on their learning.
Preschoolers were learning about the different habitats of wild animals. They discussed about what they have observed from the pictures shown by their teachers. Children went on to create a model of jungle habitat as their project work for the week.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our centres (namely KHC, 803 and CCK branches) for their active participation in the Keat Hong WEC Mother's Day contest. Congratulations to all the winners from our school! We are very proud of you.
On behalf of our Ichiban family, we would like to wish everyone a "Happy Vesak Day" in advance! Enjoy the long weekend 🍀
